Acadia is a community located in the city’s southeast quadrant. It is bordered north and south by Southland Drive SE and Heritage Drive SE and east and west by Blackfoot Trail SE and McLeod Trail South. It is a wonderful community that was established in the early 60’s, but is still held in high regard today.
Acadia real estate is close to so many amenities. McLeod Trail SE is one of the busiest sections of the city with a diverse number of businesses ranging from night clubs, bars and restaurants to major retail shopping centers. Down the hill on Deerfoot Trail you can find Deerfoot Meadows, a major shopping center that houses some of the biggest retailers in the world. Ikea, Best Buy, Sportchek, Michaels, Costco, the Brick, Superstore and more.
The neighbourhood is also home to one of the largest high schools in the city, Lord Beaverbrook. There are some parks, playgrounds, recreation centers, and green space for the avid outdoorsman. There are also two malls that service the community, South Centre Mall and Chinook Centre, the city’s largest and the country’s 8th largest mall. Public Transportation is great as the community lies between two major transportation routes.
Overall, homes for sale in Acadia have the convenience of an urban life with a suburban feel. Just 20 minutes from downtown, Acadia is a community that simply doesn’t miss out on much.
